MSDP Policies and Terms of Agreement

Registration and Refund Policy

The Master Sewing and Design Professional Certification Program (MSDP) consists of seven modules, each with its specific requirements and methods of evaluation. Candidates have two years from the date of registration to complete all seven modules of the Master Certification Program and be granted the Master Sewing and Design Professional (MSDP) designation. No refunds are issued once candidates commit to the program by submitting their signed registration forms. Additional fees may be assessed if candidate unsuccessfully complete a module and is required to resubmit their work or retake an exam.

 

Misconduct

Candidates who are discovered engaging in misconduct, such as giving or receiving help on the modules; using notes, papers or other aids or attempting to take the exam module(s) for someone else; or making copies of and/or distributing the exam questions will be disqualified from the program. Such irregularities will be reported to the MSDP Certification Board.  

 

Confidentiality

All MSDP Module Exams are confidential exams. In order to take the exam, all candidates must consent to adhere to this confidentiality statement, agreeing not to discuss copy or distribute the exam questions, rationales, or answers with any other possible candidate. Failure to honor this agreement will result in disqualification from the program.

 

By signing, candidates agree not to disclose to any individual the content of MSDP test items, answers, or rationales. They signify their understanding that failure to honor this agreement will result in disqualification from the Master Sewing and Design Professional Certification Program and their names being submitted to the MSDP Certification Board.

 

Terms of agreement

I hereby apply to register for the Master Sewing and Design Professional Certification Program. By registering for the program, I certify that I have read and agree to the conditions covering the administration and evaluation of the seven certification modules: the evaluation process; and refund, misconduct, and confidentiality policies; and I agree to disqualification from the Master Certification Program and/or nullification of any module or exam score in the event that I violate any of the rules, policies or procedures governing the Master Sewing and Design Professionals Certification Program. By registering for the MSDP Program I agree to abide by the Association’s Standards of Quality for Custom Clothing.


I hereby agree to hold ASDP & MSDP, its officers, directors, evaluators, members and agents harmless from any complaint, claim or damage arising out of any action or omission by any of them in connection with this program registration; the program evaluation process; the failure to issue me any certificate; or any demand for forfeiture or re-delivery of such certificate. I understand that the final decision as whether I successfully complete the Master Sewing and Design Professional Certification Program rests solely with MSDP Board of Directors. I understand that the fact that I am or am not, or have or have not been, certified is a matter of public record and may be disclosed. I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THESE STATEMENTS AND INTEND TO BE BOUND BY THEM.
