APQ Evaluation Process
All evaluators are carefully screened and approved by the MSDP Board of Directors. Anonymous evaluation will be conducted on the Alteration Techniques Module. Applicants will be assigned an identification number to be used on this submission and you will mail it to the APQ Coordinator.
Alteration Fit will be juried in a virtual meeting by a three-member evaluation team. You will be required to have someone assist you with your webcam so they can zoom in and out in order that the evaluators can clearly see you demonstrate this module.
The Fabrics test is online. You will be given a Username and Password.
This test contains 125 multiple choice questions. You will have 2 hours to complete it. You must complete each one in one sitting. (Should you get disconnected during the test, you would need to contact the APQ coordinator.)
You can go back to previous questions and change your answer during the test. You must answer all the questions, it will not let you leave an answer blank.
Upon successful completion of all three modules, you will receive a certificate that may be displayed in your place of business and will meet the “skill demonstrations” component required to take on apprentices under the ASDP DoL NGS SAT program.
Also, you will have the option to become MAS Certified by paying an additional fee of $300 and completing the remaining two modules, Professional Practices & Alteration Overview of the MAS Program.
